1983

In 1982, Dimitris Kyrkimtzis returns back from London, bringing his diploma in Optics & Optometry, and a vision that would change our lives once and forever. Inspired by his love for the profession and armed with the passion and the necessary expertise and experience, he decided to make his dream a reality. In August 1983, OptoCenter, a pioneering optical center for that time, opens its doors at the corner of Martiou & Vasilissis Olgas. From the very beginning, with a passion for high-quality services and dedication to building trust-based relationships with every customer, the store quickly establishes itself as a symbol in Thessaloniki.

2012

After nearly three decades of steady presence and contribution, the next step is taken. In 2012, driven by the company’s growth and the need for a larger space, the store moved to a new location at Vasilissis Olgas 197^A. A different space, with a more modern environment, ready to meet the needs of each customer, offering the knowledge, care, quality, and style that suits them.

2024

January 2024 marks a new era for our company. After 41 years, the baton is passed to the next generation. Alexandra, daughter of Dimitris and Sissy, proudly and respectfully takes the reins, honoring her father’s legacy. Returning from Italy with a diploma in Optics & Optometry, Alexandra brings a fresh perspective, new ideas, and a belief in the values that have shaped and elevated the business over the years. OptoCenter undergoes a rebranding and becomes Deoptres, confirming our passion for continuous evolution.

Today, four decades later, we have created a state-of-the-art optical center with high standards and aesthetics, where you can find a wide variety of eyewear and sunglasses from the world’s leading brand houses. The reliability of our products, combined with our specialized theoretical and practical knowledge and experience, are our tools to strengthen our relationships of trust with our customers, offering high-quality services that meet their modern needs.
